Zimbabwe produced a clinical all-round performance to secure a commanding 99-run win over Bangladesh in their Tri-Series clash at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Batting first, Zimbabwe posted a challenging total of 271/8 in their allotted 50 overs, courtesy of solid partnerships across the top and middle order. Bangladesh's bowling unit struggled for consistent breakthroughs in the middle overs, allowing Zimbabwe to accelerate effectively toward the finish.
In reply, Bangladesh’s top order crumbled under relentless pressure against disciplined new-ball bowling. Despite sporadic resistance in the middle, they lost wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 172 in 33.4 overs.
The comprehensive win gives Zimbabwe an ideal start to their Tri-Series campaign and valuable momentum in the tournament standings.
