India will play West Indies in the opening One-Day International (ODI) in Barbados as they attempt to begin their 50-over World Cup preparations.

India captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will look to use the opportunity of the three-match ODI series against West Indies beginning on Thursday at Bridgetown in Barbados to test a few players and also assign the roles and responsibilities to the established members of the side.

Suryakumar Yadav will be eager to secure his berth with the 2023 ODI World Cup less than four months away.
